Nice place to dine and wine. I mainly go for East Africa cousins. And great place to watch sports. There is an open Mic on Friday and Saturday till 02:00. I love it. Fantastic transport services within the Bar man. The family business are a wonderful people to socialise at all times.

We were out in Clapham yesterday for my birthday, and after we’d been at bottomless brunch we fancied some Karaoke. My friend found this place quickly on google and we decided to head over and see what it was like. We arrived as they opened and had one of the best nights of my life - it was such a friendly atmosphere and the drinks were great. As we left the people working the bar came out and said thank you, which was not expected and made the night even better. It seems they were quieter than usual, which if true is sad as I’d definitely go back again!A place which I enjoyed my off day with unique delicious food , live music and social experiences

I've been walking past Laryn Cafe Bar for years, always busy, on my way to Clapham High Street or Brixton. But I love Eritrean food and my usual place is too far to just pop in. It was a lovely meal, we had the mixed platter, spinach, chickpeas and lamb. Owner was super friendly and chatted us through the menu. Good tunes. Big portions. We'll definitely be back!
The host and his staff were beyond the best at the service and everything that comes wit be pleasing their customers. We came based on a review and it best expectations. Hiy Rex come t to all

I have eaten and drunk at Laryn many times over a number of years. Drink, food and service all brilliant (do order a platter of Eritrean food, you can get meat or vegan, they're both delicious). I just have to comment on the reviews (I suspect maybe from one person) that call the owner Manny rude and aggressive. Every time I've been he has been polite and provided brilliant service with a smile. The reviews calling him stuff like "very rude and aggressive", well, there are three options. 1. Fake reviews. 2. The customer was being extremely disprespectful (I want to use a four letter word but keeping to disrespectul so this gets posted). 3. possibly Manny was very busy or having a bad day: as far as I've seen it's a two person operation with him behind the bar and a lady (not sure if wife or relative) who is a brilliant chef doing the food. He gets very busy. But "very rude and aggressive" I have never seen even when the place is full of rowdy drunk people. I'm a hospital Consultant doctor and Laryn is my first choice when I take my junior doctors out. It should be your first choice if in area too. Some nights are karaoke nights - I'm not into karaoke but still go on those nights for food, drink, atmosphere and great service. Sorry for long review but there is something seriously amiss with the negative reviews and had to point this out.Owner response

Cousy, clean, fresh good food and drink family run café/wine bar with a selection of diverse cuisine located in tranquil area. I love the place to eat, drink, socialise, watch Sport or just chillaxing. It is a cool comfy and safe place as the manager take no non-sense with ppl misbehaving, he quickly gets rid of them and asserts the peace and friendly atmosphere. The food is immaculate fresh and clean with plenty to choose from Italian, Eritrea and British cuisine, it also accommodates vegan dishes that are second to none.Lovely people who run this place. Jim and Manny are awesome. Great vibes. Really fun karaoke.

Had an amazing time here, cheap drinks, cheap and super tasty food, super friendly staff. We were allowed to choose our own music and we danced the evening away. Will be back !
Amazing place - 10 years I come - amazing food and Manny the owner is an absolute legend - ignore bad reviews - bring good vibes and get good vibes (and INCREDIBLE food)! <3 We love Laryn xxx
These guys also do food in the evening, including Ethiopian/Eritrean injera bread, lamb, beef and other vegetable dishes. I had some to take away and it was amazing! I thought I had to go to North London for this kind of food, what a great find to know this is just around the corner!

Food was boss (mix the spinach and the spicy lamb together lads), everyone was dead friendly and they spent half an hour making sure we could watch the football we wanted to. 1878 stars out of 5.
Food great, drinks amazing, service impeccable. Could not have asked for more. Amazing night, such good vibes.
